Embark on a 6-day journey into the heart of Western Mongolia, where snow-capped peaks meet shimmering alpine lakes, and ancient nomadic traditions thrive in one of the most remote corners of the world. This adventure combines horseback riding across wild open valleys, hiking to icy mountain summits, and the warm hospitality of Kazakh nomadic families — including a rare encounter with Mongolia’s legendary golden eagle hunters.
From the moment you land in Ulgii, you’ll be surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Altai Mountains. Ride horses through flower-filled meadows to the base of the Altai Tavan Bogd peaks, then hike along rocky, icy trails to Malchin Summit, where sweeping views stretch into Russia and China. Picnic lunches in the fresh mountain air and evenings spent in traditional ger camps under starry skies make every day unforgettable.
At Khoton and Khurgan Lakes, crystal-clear waters mirror jagged peaks while you explore the shoreline from horseback, soaking in the serenity of this untouched wilderness. The adventure continues to the Baga Turgen Waterfall and into the home of a Kazakh eagle hunter, where you’ll learn how these majestic birds are trained to hunt and witness the deep connection between human and eagle — a living tradition passed down through generations.
Throughout the journey, you’ll be welcomed with the genuine warmth of nomadic hospitality — sharing tea, stories, and meals with local families. Whether you’re riding across high mountain passes, hiking on icy trails, or sitting by a fire listening to tales of the steppe, this tour offers a rare chance to experience Mongolia’s natural grandeur and cultural richness in one incredible expedition.
