Day 1Morning Departure to Ugii Lake

Depart in the morning for Ugii Lake, traveling along smooth paved roads before transitioning to a scenic 90 km stretch of dirt road that leads to the lake. Upon arrival, take time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Ugii Lake is home to over 150 species of birds, making it a great spot for birdwatching and fishing.
In the afternoon, visit a local nomadic family to learn about their traditional lifestyle and livestock herding practices. This will be your first opportunity to experience overnight in a Mongolian ger, offering a unique glimpse into the daily life of Mongolia’s herders.

Day 2Explore Erdene Zuu Monastery & Ancient Capital Kharkhorin

Today, we drive to Kharkhorin, the historic site of the once-great capital of the Mongol Empire. While little remains of the original city, the area holds deep cultural significance. In 1586, King Avtai Sain established the Erdene Zuu Monastery on the ruins of ancient Kharkhorin.

Known as the “Hundred Treasures Monastery,” Erdene Zuu is Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monastery. Though heavily damaged during the Stalinist purges of the 1930s, the site still preserves remarkable Buddhist statues, religious artifacts, Tsam dance masks, and 108 white stupas that surround the complex.

Wander through its sacred grounds and soak in the powerful atmosphere where Mongolia’s imperial and spiritual history intersect. Overnight stay at a traditional ger camp.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3Spiritual Ascent to Tuvkhun Monastery – A UNESCO Heritage Site

Today, we journey to the sacred Tuvkhun Monastery, perched atop Shiveet Mountain. This serene and secluded site is where Zanabazar, the revered spiritual leader and founder of Mongolian Buddhism, created many of his masterpieces in the 17th century—including the national script, Soyombo.

Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Tuvkhun is not only spiritually significant but also naturally breathtaking. Explore symbolic landmarks such as the “Mother’s Womb” rock formation, ancient stone inscriptions, and mystical meditation caves hidden in the forested mountain terrain.

The visit offers a meaningful blend of history, spirituality, and nature.
