Itinerary

Day 1Arrival

Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar by air or train, you will be welcomed by your guide and driver and transferred to your hotel. You can choose between a half-day or full-day city tour, both with a private car, English-speaking guide, and no additional cost.

Half-day city tour: Explore iconic Sukhbaatar Square, the National History Museum or Genghis Khan Museum. Meals: Dinner.

Full-day city tour: Visit Sukhbaatar Square, the National History Museum or Genghis Khan Museum, Zaisan Memorial Hill for a stunning panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar, and the Winter Palace of Mongolia’s last king. Meals: Lunch, Dinner.

Day 2Murun - Khuvsgul lake

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Murun, the capital of Khuvsgul province in northern Mongolia. From there, you will continue to Khuvsgul Lake, often called the “Blue Pearl of Mongolia” (110 km). Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at the camp, followed by a walk along the lakeshore to take in the breathtaking scenery. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a ger camp by the lake. Meal: Lunch/Dinner

Day 3Khuvsgul lake

Start the day with breakfast at the ger camp before setting out to explore the stunning Khuvsgul Lake and its surroundings. In the morning, enjoy a half-day horseback ride along the lakeshore. After returning to the camp for lunch, visit a local reindeer herding family, who live in traditional dwellings known as urts or teepees. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with the reindeer and take photos. The Dukha people, also called reindeer herders, have maintained their unique culture for centuries, relying on a sustainable relationship with the reindeer and the taiga. End the day with an overnight stay at the ger camp. Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Day 4Murun

After breakfast, return by car to Murun, where you’ll explore the local museum and markets. Spend the night at a hotel in Murun. Meal: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Day 5Ulaanbaatar

In the early morning catch a flight to Ulaanbaatar. Transferred to your Hotel. Meal: Breakfast
